Description:
Marble panel with relief decoration. A big banded floriated swastika is shown on a rectangle frame. On the upper part of the cross are depicted two diagonal palmettes, while on the lower part dense sprouts are shown. The work is diligent and the skew-cut carvings with the strong shades create an exquisite aesthetic result. It comes from the church of Panagia Koulourdou in Athens and it is dated to the tenth century A.D.
