Description:
The wall painting is preserved in average condition. Three schematized lilies are pictured in red color on a white ground. The lilies have a stalk that ends up in a torus on the right and left side. The wall painting comes from room 10 of an important public building that was discovered in the town center during the construction work in the Athenian metropolitan railway. The extensive building complex, which covered an area of 510 square meters, was founded in the 2nd century A.D. on an older cemetery. It consisted of 15 rooms, 4 of which were decorated with mosaics and wall paintings.
