Marble lintel. The theme of the ciborium, which is a floriated cross under a column-based apse, is surrounded by two birds, while a banded nexus and heart-shaped palmettes are depicted in the background. The technique is that of the double-leveled relief. Quality, grace and perfect execution are combined harmonically to produce an exquisite result. It comes from Athens and it is dated to the twelfth century A.D.
