Fragment of a marble lintel with relief representation of an eagle with open wings, and a banded chained tress that is encircled by a bead-and-reel and ornaments. Mastery, elegance and realistic mood characterize the representation of the eagle. It comes from Athens and it was formerly part of the Thisseion Collection. It is dated to the end of the tenth century A.D.
