Description:
Marble panel of a screen with relief decoration. On the front of the panel are depicted banded geometrical grids, a cross and a square, with peculiar palmettes on the corners. All these envelop a central disc with an isosceles cross. It comes from Petrakis Monastery, Athens, and it is dated to the tenth – eleventh century. The sculpture was walled in a fountain in the courtyard of the monastery.
