Description:
Marble panel with relief and incised decoration. The center is occupied by a leafy cross encircled by two birds and floral ornaments. The rest of the surface is covered with dense engraved four-leaves that repeat themselves symmetrically, like an embroidery around the central representation. Characteristic is the vivid decorative character. It comes from the Asklepieion in Athens and it is dated to the tenth – eleventh century A.D.
