Fragment of a marble lintel ornated with a cross, birds and ivy leaves. The low-relief and the champleve process are combined. Both the birds and the floral patterns have a strong decorative character, even though they are given in a clumsy manner. It comes from Athens, area of the Horologion of Andronicos. Ninth century.
