Description:
In Porto-Raphtes, in the northern side of the bay (Hagios Spyridonas) close to the beach lie the ruins of the early Christian basilica of Hagia Kyriaki. Apart from these ruins, remnants of a prosperous early Christian settlement have been traced, which succeeded the ancient demos of Steiria. Ruins of a bath complex, houses, even a Philosophical School (?) have been excavated among others.
