The church is located in the village of Sycaminon, approximately 3 kilometers in the north of Oropos. It is a free cross plan church dated to the 13th century. No wall paintings are preserved. The post Byzantine church of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary, where many sculptures of the Byzantine period are walled, lies closely. In general, the area of Sycaminon – a small village near Oropos – as well as the area of old Oropos preserve many monuments of the Byzantine period.
